2nd blogg

This week in English we didn't really do anything. It snowed and we missed one day of class and that kind of put us behind because we weren't in the class Monday. We participated in a scavenger hunt in the library on Monday. It was kind of elementary but it was also very useful and helped it. It was a good experience. I learned how to navigate in the library. I also learned how to look up information through the library's resources. Before the scavenger hunt, I didn't know of all the resources and help the library had to offer .Today we finally decided on what we were going to do as far as the three research papers .We agreed on crime and punishment and on family. The other one we get to decide on our own. Even though we made valid arguments for each topic, we couldn't agree on the last one. Some people were with it and some people opposed it. Everyone had different views. I’m happy that we finally decided on something. It took three class periods to decide on three topics. I personally don't think it should have been that difficult nor took that long. Now I can start working towards writing them and making sure my papers are well put.

1st Blog

Hello, my name is Trequan Roberts and I am currently in English 101 at Richard Bland College. During my first week in English 101 we did a variety of things inside the classroom and out.We had readings and class discussions. One of which was how to create a blog. I have never created nor used a blog until now. It is very user friendly and I see it as a beneficial tool that I can use in the future.  I also read a story that dealt with originality. It was a cool story, yet kinda of difficult to understand. It showed the different sources from which originality came from or could come from. It had comparisons and history behind each example and each theory of originality. Also we had a discussion about future research papers. It had many different topics to choose from but we all had to agree on three of them. That was the hard part because everyone had different views and different topics to write about. It has been two class periods and we still cant resolve the issue of agreeing on three topics. I am pretty sure its a meaning behind why we all have to agree on the same topics, but right now i don't see it. Hopefully things will come together so we can begin working on it.I'm looking forward to learning and continuing to express myself.
